I believe we are now living in the time spoken of in Daniel 7:27, “And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.”
Our experience with the local City Council is a hopeful sign. I have a number of other friends who currently are being opposed by the same spiritual force that we faced and are seeking justice in regard to issues of adoption, divorce, taxation, and employer misbehavior. We certainly experienced the truth of Proverbs 21:1, “The heart of the king is in the hand of the Lord. He directs it like a watercourse, wherever he will.”
Are we entering the time spoken of in Isaiah 26:9, “When your judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness” when we will increasingly see the justice from the Divine Court being manifested on earth?
Just last night we heard of another situation here in Northern Ireland where a couple of integrity who had been falsely accused of abuse have now been completely vindicated.
I believe it is important that no matter where we personally find ourselves in the storyline we understand the end toward which The Plan of God is moving summed up in the chorus of the song I was given the opportunity to sing to the Council….All Will Be Well.
The third “Fear not” I mentioned Paul heard in the midst of the storm and I heard in the midst of the night was followed by the words. “God has GRACIOUSLY given you the lives of ALL on board.” (Acts 27:23)
The ship in which Paul sailed I believe represented all of humanity: Paul and his companions represented the overcomer company, the ships crew; the rest of the church, and the Roman soldiers; those who do not yet believe. At the very end of the story all 276 (the gematria for “all flesh’ is a multiple of this number) made it safely to shore….for he is indeed the King of Grace and while we can stubbornly resist the King of Grace in this life we are told that in the end, “Every knee will bow (to the King of Grace) and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord.”
This would not be “to the glory of God the Father.” if it were a compelled kneeling or an enforced confession which contradicts his essential nature (“glory”) of ‘agape’ love that is freely offered and received. (1 Jn.4:8, Jn.3:16 )
This is why when all is said and done, we need have “No Fear” because “From Him and through Him and to Him are all things” ( Rm.11:36) – and in the end, All Will Be Well.
P.S. This week’s photo….Can you trace the rainbow of God’s gracious covenant through the rain last week on Breaghy Head, Donegal, and through the clouds in your own life?
P.P.S. As Hilary was reviewing this post I went to check my email and discovered a problem had arisen and the last email I had received was at 9.11 am. 911 is the gematria for the Greek word for GRACE. It looks like Father was, even as she read it, confirming the message – we are, whether we like or not – stuck with GRACE!
