<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018Would The Real St. Patrick Please Stand Up.\u2019 <\/strong>was the title of a play we wrote and performed, first in Kieran\u2019s Irish pub in Downtown Minneapolis, and subsequently in numerous locations in the US, Australia and even back home in Ireland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It depicted a Patrick far removed from the drunken, brawling Irish \u2018Paddy\u2019 characature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At 3.14<\/strong> the morning of St. Patrick\u2019s day my phone, which I had forgotten to turn off, \u2018pinged\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Believe it or not it was a message from saint Patrick!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yes, my dear friend Paddy Murphy had sent me this message from deep in the Irish countryside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018Happy St Patrick\u2019s Day. May the grace and love of the God <\/strong>he came to tell us of, impact your life afresh today.\u2019<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The timing was perfect. It was 3.14<\/strong> Numerically this is pi. Pi is the 16th letter of the Greek alphabet. It represents God\u2019s infinite and unfailing LOVE reflected in love\u2019s 16 attributes described in 1 Cor.13.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This \u2018Paddy\u2019 is a faithful and faith filled Irishman who with his wonderful wife Breda have battled and prayed and worked for years in the face of great personal adversity, as did his namesake, for the salvation of Ireland!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He is indeed a \u2018Real<\/strong>\u2019 modern day, living saint Patrick.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2026\u2026Then all the world witnessed another \u2018Would the Real St. Patrick Please Stand Up.<\/strong>\u2019 drama, this week, at The White House<\/strong>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As in our play it echoed uncannily Patrick\u2019s initial showdown on Tara hill with the dark druidic powers that held sway in Ireland at that time!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There has been much commentary on this. Here is one rather raw but truthful analysis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As we prepare to return to Ireland for 5 weeks on Tuesday, here is a story from our last trip that maps beautifully on to all of this\u2026\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the end of our trip we took our friends Brian and Lyn to see London\/ Derry, Hilary\u2019s birthplace. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the train we walked straight to the Guildhall. On trying to enter, we were told we would have to stand to the side because a very important person was about to arrive, unannounced. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As we waited, a fleet of limousines pulled up and out stepped the then Irish, Taoiseach<\/strong> (head of government) referred to in the above commentary, Simon Harris<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An orchestrated photo shoot with Harris and the newly appointed (not elected) African Derry City Mayor followed, before they walked within an arms reach of us into the Guildhall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brian and Lynn Hilary and myself realized it was the cue for a song, and spontaneously began singing together\u2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lord Jesus we enthrone You\u2026..We proclaim you are King of Derry and of Ireland. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A flock of doves in perfect formation then flew over our heads, as if heaven was approving and answering!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The four of us subsequently prayer walked \u2018The Walled City\u2019<\/strong>. Then we realized the gate we had started and ended at, was Castle Gate<\/strong>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We smiled as we sang once again \u2018Come Lord Jesus and take your place\u2019<\/em> \u2026.realizing we were inviting our \u2018servant\u2019 King of the Castle <\/strong>to enter at the most \u2018humble\u2019 of the 7 gates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We sensed the \u2018kings of the earth\u2019<\/em> , that we had just been brought near to in that place and time, would soon be ousted by Jesus, the true High King of Ireland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The next morning one of those photos of Simon Harris, posted above, made it onto the front page of the Belfast Telegraph<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It seemed the disarray of the flock of doves captured above Harris, was the contrary sign to the beautifully ordered and peaceful \u2018dove\u2019 formation we had been given, as we proclaimed \u2018Jesus\u2019 King.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was no surprise then that shortly thereafter Harris was toppled as Ireland\u2019s \u2018head\u2019, and that the corrupt establishment he represented, has now been exposed to the world from America\u2019s White House.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is indeed the time spoken of by Enoch and Daniel when the \u201ckings of the earth\u2019 will experience tribulation as they are judged and the kingdom of God is delivered into the hands of \u2018the saints of the Most High\u2019 <\/em><\/strong>(Dan.7;14)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
