‘Now may the God of peace who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus……..equip you with everything good for doing his will.’ (Heb.13.20-21)
Remember the previous photo?

The rainbow is the sign of the ‘eternal covenant’ sealed with the blood of Jesus that has brought us peace with God and that is the basis for our being equipped to do his will.
I remember from basic physics class 50 years ago that when all 7 colors of the rainbow combine it gives us white light.
I had painful feet when we arrived in Belfast. I had put on a pair of brand new shoes for the trip and they had blistered both heels.
Hilary suggested we just go and buy another comfortable pair and picked out several at TJ Maxx for me to try on. The best fitting pair however were white! My personal preference would have been for maybe grey, black or brown, but I knew she was right, and so conceded to the white.
It provoked a chuckle from daughter Abby who immediately circulated this photo to the family.

I knew Father was wanting to encourage ‘boldness’ …….that we can step forward with courage because we stand and walk confident in the righteousness of Christ, equipped by him to ‘walk in the good works prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.’ (Eph.2:10)
“The righteous are bold as a lion.”(Prov.28.1)
That day we had gone into Neighborhood , the most popular new coffee shop in Belfast, owned and run by Oshin, a good friend of daughter Abby’s. Neighborhood it is by name, but the happy buzz and friendly atmosphere it emanated was a ‘neighborhood by nature’ vibe.
We noticed the pleasant girl serving us was wearing a knee brace and so engaged her to ask about it.
The story went that she had a torn meniscus and was heartbroken that she would be unable to run the upcoming Belfast marathon. She’d never had an injury before and had been training for months for the event.
She sat down beside us and I told my story of being healed of the same condition in both my right and left knees!!
We took out an essential oil, rubbed it on her knee and prayed for healing.
She was overjoyed that we’d reached out in this way!!…….and later brought us the two white🙂 ice creams captured above as an expression of her gratitude.
On our last day in Belfast we visited Neighborhood one last time. Grace (Yes, that was her name🙂) bounded up to us.…..
‘I’m completely healed!’ She exclaimed!n
She described how she had just run a 10k with no pain and was planning to enter the half marathon in September!
So, let us, ‘Arise and shine!’ …get up, engage…be the dawn, set on fire!
When grandson Roy saw the white shoes photo, his response was…..🔥
Let’s get beyond our natural preference, exchange our black shoes for white, and step our fearlessly – bold as a lion!
